Vlitex EV Temperature tracker
Battery fires will show themselves through noticable temperature rises. From approx. 70 °C, a reaction occurs which is difficult to stop and thermal runaway takes hold. Smoke is produced, the battery burns and the cells threaten to explode.
Constantly monitoring the car and battery with the Vlitex Temperature Tracker will show the telltale rises in temperature well before 70 °C is reached and there is then time to act and protect people and property. The vehicle could be rolled outside and a blanket applied to safely contain.
This unit is ideal to monitor accident damaged vehicles or for the growing number of battery repair facilities. Temperature data is fired over constantly through a mobile data network and these can be set for alarms to multiple key staff to prompt emergency procedures.
A 2 year data sim contract is needed and the VX-251DATA must be added with purchase - click here
The VLITEX Temperature Tracker measures both the ambient temperature and the surface temperature. If there is either a rapid rise in temperature or the measured temperature exceeds the set threshold value, the tracker reacts and sends a notification. The tracker thus makes a significant contribution to increasing safety during the transportation and storage of an electrically powered vehicle involved in an accident. Because only if the fire is discovered at an early stage can greater damage and the spread to other properties be prevented.
All data is recorded and can be easily exported, which makes documentation for insurance companies much easier.
