Fire Safety

Electric Vehicles introduce inherent hazards not seen previously in motor vehicles with internal combustion engines. All EV and Hybrid vehicles are powered by a powerful Lithium Ion battery unit which can result in disastrous fires due to thermal runaway of the batteries, due to damage or internal failure. Constant monitoring of the temperature is advised and using fire blankets to contain the fire in the event of this occurring.
