Ear Protection

Noise exposure can be a hazard to health, even short exposure to very high-level sounds. The sound level and duration are important to risk assess. When selecting which type of hearing protection would be appropriate (earmuffs, earplugs or canal snaps), the compatibility of it with other PPE (such as eye protection, helmets or masks) must be considered; as well as comfort and hygiene.
