PPE Glasses
Eye protection is required when any of the following hazards are present in the workplace: projectiles (impact), dust, gas and vapour, radiation / laser, chemical or metal splash. The choice of protection (safety glasses, goggles, face screens, face shields or visors) will depend upon the task in hand and it’s compatibility with other PPE required to be worn. Safety goggles are often deemed to be the best type of eye protection, as they offer more comprehensive protection because they tend to be more close-fitting to the eye, however they do not cover the full face, so are not appropriate in all situations.
