Rescue stretchers
Rescue stretchers come in many forms and their suitability depends on the scenario in which they will be used.
Stretchers can be constructed of metal, providing good support for the casualty, but can be heavy and unwieldy. Others are soft, which makes them preferable for confined area rescue, but do not provide much support for the casualty unless paired with a spinal board.
Rescue stretchers can also be constructed with an integrated harness and are also approved for horizontal and vertical lifting and lowering.
