This is a compact emergency use station for use in EV Service workshops and contains the correct products to prevent further injury, of victim and rescuer, in the event of an accidental electrocution of a member of staff whilst servicing an electric vehicle. The biggest risk point is during the battery disconnection and the high DC current can cause serious injury to the victim if they remain connected to the live terminal. Time is critical at this point.

The rescuer could quickly become the next victim through trying to assist without the correct equipment. This simple station allows the rescuer to make a safe life-saving  intervention without risk to themselves. The rescuer would wear the latex rubber insulating gloves and use the rescue hook to drag the victim away from the live terminal. Instructions are shown on the board to show how this operation is carried out safely and emergency resuscitation instructions are then included to provide life-saving assistance.

The station also includes a sachet to mix with water which will neutralise an accidental acid spill through a cracked battery unit. A pack of pH paper is also included to check that it is neutralised and instructions are printed on the board in how to deal with this. A polycarbonate face shield is also attached to the board which will protect the eyes from sparks during the disconnection and splashes when dealing with a spill.
