RSTC-1046C - Essential skills for use of Working at Height equipment for Engineering and Operations teams to work safely on typical elevated plant and equipment - half day on-site course
Intended for
ANY PERSON who needs basic knowledge & understanding of the WAH Regulations, COUPLED WITH specific training in how to select, inspect and put on a fall protection harness to select, inspect and attach a suitable lanyard on screening plant, kibblers, box feeders, conveyors or any place with a fall potential which might be accessed routinely. Work positioning for Quarries will make a real difference and a recent event reported on Safequarry illustrates this need.
Introduction
Delegates will gain a thorough understanding of equipment, its approval and its intended uses and from there outwards will be shown how to inspect, check and thoroughly examine the equipment in the workplace or in the workshop.
Delegates will be able to set up and maintain records from beginning to end of equipment life.

Entry requirements
PROSPECTIVE DELEGATES MUST HAVE TOTAL FLUENCY AT BOTH SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND BE CAPABLE OF GENERATING AUDITABLE DOCUMENTS IN ENGLISH
Assessment method
Certification of competency is issued ONLY to those delegates who successfully complete BOTH the practical elements AND a written test.
