Fixed Lanyards
Fixed lanyards are a defined length of rope, cord or wire with eyelets at each end. They're most commonly used for restraint, but they can also be used as part of a fall arrest lanyard. A lanyard is designed to restrict a workers movement to prevent them from reaching a position where a fall could occur.
When used for restraint, the maximum allowable length, including connectors, is 2m. Reece Safety offers fixed lanyards made from Kernmantle rope from Lyon Industrial and Singing Rock Industrial both of which conform to EN892 safety standards.
