Brass safety padlocks often play an integral role in every LOTOTO (Lock Out Tag Out Try Out) system; the safety process developed to ensure machinery is kept isolated during repair, cleaning and maintenance procedures to avoid people being accidentally exposed to the hazardous risks of stored energy. Safe systems of work and isolation often require brass safety padlocks to satisfy stringent safety requirements and keep people safe at all times.

Brass Safety Padlocks

Quality and Precision

At Reece Safety, we have supplied high-quality, precision-made brass safety padlocks for LOTOTO systems for over two decades. Every padlock body and key carries a unique number for ease of identification as standard. Brass safety padlocks from Reece Safety are available in a range of sizes featuring short, medium and long shackle options to match differing requirements. Body sizes from 20mm to 51mm are available.

Our brass safety padlocks are traditionally the preferred model used in LOTOTO systems, featuring robust construction and a compact body. Brass shackles, both rustproof and anti-spark, are supplied as standard, and there is an option for chrome-plated steel shackles where required.

Key options include Keyed Alike, Master and Differs

Keying systems play an equally vital role in the LOTOTO procedure, with Reece Safety options including Keyed Alike, Master and Differ. Our differs feature 32,000 differing combinations, providing the variety required to conduct even the most complex Lock Out Tag Out isolation procedures. Our padlock guide provides more detail on this.

All brass safety padlocks supplied by Reece Safety come with one key per lock as standard, ensuring ‘One Lock, One Key, One Life’.

Extensive stockholding and fast turnaround

We carry extensive safety padlock stockholding ready for immediate despatch, in materials including stainless steel, nylon and aluminium, with a comprehensive selection of colours and keying options. This investment in stockholding at Reece Safety enables us to respond quickly and relevantly to all requirements.

“We consistently achieve one to two day delivery for differs,” confirmed Managing Director, Andy Graham. “More complex and bespoke requirements such as keyed alike sets,  master and differs, lock painting and engraving services can be completed with a two to four week lead time, meaning we provide the fastest turnaround service for brass safety padlocks available in the industry today.”

Lock engraving and painting

An essential part of our service includes engraving locks with machine locations and user names, as well as lock painting where required. We can also provide plastic clip-on bodies for our 32mm padlock range.  These are available in eleven different colours to assist with immediate identification.

Added safety with the Sentinel system

All brass safety padlocks supplied by Reece Safety are recorded on our Sentinel database, with lock numbers allocated to each customer, ensuring we eliminate the possibility of any duplications for future orders to the site or group. We offer access to our Sentinel Key Tracking system at no extra cost, adding to safety measures by ensuring only one designated person can open each padlock.

Tough and resilient

Our safety padlocks are precision manufactured using the highest quality brass, making them the ideal choice for some of the most rigorous industrial environments, including onshore and offshore power generation, aggregates, waste and hot metal industries.

Complementary products

Alongside our extensive selection of brass safety padlocks, Reece Safety also supplies complementary products including tags, hasps, lockout stations, locking key cabinets and even mobile group lockout boxes, developed for more complex isolation requirements where the lockout equipment needs to be kept near the point of use.
